The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last several years, aided by phenom quarterback Patrick Mahomes taking the league by storm. They have the horses to get back to the big game yet again.

When Was the Chiefs’ Last Super Bowl Win?

The Chiefs were on the losing end of the Super Bowl last year, losing to Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-9. It wasn’t even close. The offensive line struggled mightily in front of Mahomes, causing him to scramble on seemingly every play. Mahomes was pressured 29 times in the game, the most in Super Bowl history.

The year prior, Mahomes and the Chiefs had their moment in the sun, winning the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers. They won 31-20 in Mahomes’ coronation as one of the young super stars in the game.

Over the last five years, no team has won more games than the Kansas City Chiefs with 60. They’ll look to get back to the Super Bowl to erase the bad taste that last year’s loss left.

Kansas City Chiefs' Odds to Win Super Bowl 56

Over at WynnBET, Kansas City currently has the second-highest odds to win the Super Bowl at +375.

The Chiefs offense awoke in a big way against the Steelers, putting up the explosive plays and point totals that we are accustomed to seeing out of this team. The Chiefs scored 42 points on the back of 21 points in the second quarter alone. Mahomes threw for 404 yards and five scores, Travis Kelce had yet another playoff game with 100-plus receiving yards, and the Chiefs looked like the Chiefs.

The biggest reason that I’m in on the Chiefs — they fixed their offensive line. Patrick Mahomes was sacked only 28 times this year, fewer than 24 other quarterbacks. If the line can keep him upright and give him time to do what he does, there are few teams capable of making a run quite like the Chiefs can.
