After an up-and-down season, the Michigan Wolverines have found their groove to kick off the NCAA tournament. They've knocked off No. 6-seeded Colorado State and No. 3-seeded Tennessee. They are playing hard and are two wins away from making it to the Final Four for the first time since 2018.

When Was the Wolverines’ Last National Championship

The Michigan Wolverines have made the Final Four eight times in school history. Yet, they’ve only been able to capitalize on the opportunity once.

The Wolverines’ single title came in 1989 when they beat the Seton Hall Pirates, 80-79 in overtime. Michigan was led by Glen Rice, who scored a tournament record 184 points across the Wolverines’ run.

Michigan’s Odds to Win National Championship

WynnBET currently has the Wolverines’ odds of winning it all at +5000. If the Wolverines won it all, they would be the lowest seed to ever win a National Championship.

The Michigan Wolverines already have two upsets and will likely be the underdog in the remainder of their games. They will have to take down the winner of the Ohio State-Villanova game -- who are playing as this article is being published.

The Wolverines have a long ways to go, and still have several giants to slay. However, we've seen crazier things happen in March.
