When Was the Last Time UCLA Won the NCAA Tournament?
By Reed Wallach
The UCLA Bruins are one of the most storied programs in college basketball history.
Mick Cronin's Bruins are part of a program with a littered history, winning the most NCAA Tournament National Championships with 11, but it has been a while since UCLA cut down the nets.
Now that the team is in the Sweet 16 for the second straight season on the heels of a 2021 Final Four appearance, let's see when they last won it all.
When Was the Bruins’ Last National Championship
UCLA may have won a record 11 titles, but the team hasn't won it all since 1995 when the team beat Arkansas, 89-78 in the National Championship.
The team went to three straight Final Four's between 2006 and 2008, but only reached the National Championship game in 2006. In 2021, the team made the Final Four as an 11-seed, but fell to Gonzaga in overtime.
UCLA’s Odds to Win National Championship
WynnBET Sportsbook currently has the Bruins listed at +1200 to win as the No. 4 seed in the East Region. They are set to face the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Sweet 16. As of this writing, UCLA is a 2-point favorite as the team awaits news on forward Jaime Jacquez, who was injured against St. Mary's on Saturday night.

Cronin's bunch is amongst the most balanced teams in the country with point guard Tyger Campbell and sweet shooting forward Johnny Juzang. They have a majority of their 2021 Final Four core back, and are ripe to make another run again, especially with the top two seeds in Baylor and Kentucky bowing out during the first weekend.
UCLA is 12th in KenPom's overall rankings, 12th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 14th on the defensive side of the ball.
If the Bruins can beat UNC, they are set to face the winner of St. Peter's and Purdue/Texas.
