The Los Angeles Rams have decided to sideline running back Cam Akers for the time being until they find a potential trade partner for him.

The details are still hazy about what has gone wrong between the Rams and the former Florida State running back, but it's clear that he's on his way out.

So, what team will make the move for Akers? There aren't any betting odds available, so I decided to make my own.

Here's my take on the potential landing spots for Cam Akers.

Cam Akers Next Team Odds

Denver Broncos +220

The Broncos seems like the most obvious candidate to make the move for Akers.

Their starting running back, Javonte Williams, is out for the year with an injury, and their back up, Melvin Gordon, has dealt with fumble issues all season and hardly saw the field on Monday night against the Chargers.

Their offense needs a boost right now, ranked dead-last in the NFL in points per play. They're painful to watch, so adding in a new weapon might give them some life.

Bills +350

There have been reports tying the Buffalo Bills with Christian McCaffrey. While Akers is certainly no CMC, it tells me that the Bills are in the market for a running back and if they can't land the Panthers star back, they may look somewhere else. That somewhere else could be Akers.

A solid running game seems to be the missing piece for the Bills, as they rank fourth-worst in the NFL in Football Outsiders' Rush DVOA metric.

Adding Akers could be what lifts them over the edge in their journey for a Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Titans +600

The Titans back field belongs to Derrick Henry, but it wouldn't hurt for them to bring in a true number two running back.

Henry has regressed this season, averaging only 3.9 yards per carry. He could benefit from a guy like Akers who can take some of the weight of his shoulders.

The Titans would be smart to at least test the waters on the Rams running back.

Patriots +850

The New England Patriots have run the ball a ton this season, ranking sixth in run play percentage at 49.17%. Damien Harris is battling some injury issues, and Rhamondre Stevenson isn't exactly a top tier back. They could use Akers talents.

Also, what other team loves signing guys with some potential character issues and then has them become one of the best players in the NFL more than the Patriots?

Cardinals +1000

No back field is more injured than the Cardinals. James Conner, Eno Benjamin, and Darrel Williams are all battling injuries.

If they need a healthy running back to help them through the middle portion of the season, adding Cam Akers for cheap could be a good option for them if the Rams would trade him within the division.
