White Sox vs. Angels Prediction and Odds for Monday, June 27 (Expect High-Scoring Battle)
By Joe Summers
The 34-37 Chicago White Sox snapped a four-game losing streak yesterday and hope to get a winning streak going in Los Angeles as they take on the 35-40 Angels tonight at 9:38 p.m. EST.
Lucas Giolito gets the nod for Chicago in the midst of a horrendous month. Through four June starts, Giolito has a 9.00 ERA and gave up fifteen runs in his last two outings.
Los Angeles turns to Noah Syndergaard, who allowed five runs in his last start but has been strong overall, amassing a 3.50 ERA in June. The Angels have lost four straight behind him though, as they've struggled to provide run support.
Can they turn things around against GIolito today? Or will Chicago get the road win?

White Sox vs Angels Prediction and Pick
The Angels engaged in a full-out brawl with the Mariners yesterday and while it remains to be seen if any players will be suspended, perhaps it served as a rallying cry because Los Angeles went on to win the game. I'll assume no one of importance for today's game will be suspended, but keep an eye on the updates from BetSided just in case.
Regarding today's matchup, Noah Syndergaard has to hope joining in on the scrum will inspire his teammates to finally score some runs when he pitches.
That tweet was from a week ago, but Los Angeles only scored two in a loss to the Royals that night. The Angels mustered five runs combined in Syndergaard's last four starts, all losses. But there's perhaps no better pitchers right now to turn things around against than Lucas Giolito.
"God-awful" is right. in Giolito's last 15 innings, he's allowed 18 hits, 15 runs, four home runs, and four walks. The Angels lineup is still dreadful in key situations, but facing Giolito is like turning your video game to the easiest difficulty so you can beat a level. If you can't score on this guy, we may need to consider a different activity.
But I expect the White Sox to score as well. They're fifth in OPS against right-handed pitchers over the last two weeks and Syndergaard's 4.36 expected ERA implies he's no shutdown starter. Both bullpens are mediocre at best, and with wind blowing out to left-center I expect some runs.
Thus, the over is the play for me. I can't trust either team, with the Angels going 3-10 in their last 13 as a home favorite and Chicago going 2-6 in their last eight as road underdogs. But I can trust that runs will be scored. The over has hit in five straight Giolito starts and that trend should improve today. Enjoy each crack of the bat in what should be a runs-bonanza this evening.
Pick: Over 8.5 (-105)
