White Sox vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Odds for Thursday, June 2 (Fading Johnny Cueto for Second Straight Start)
By Matt De Saro
The Chicago White Sox continue to struggle despite many expecting them to walk away with the AL Central. Instead, they are a below .500 team that can't seem to get any momentum going.
While they did climb to second place in the division, the rest of the teams are pretty trash and there is no reason the White Sox should be trailing anyone in it. They just keep losing games to bad teams.
Today, they face off against a Blue Jays team on a tear. Toronto won seven in a row; taking the first two games of the series. The Blue Jays are the only team that may be able to challenge the Yankees right now and they're starting to make a run at the division. Can they keep it going at home against Chicago, or will the White Sox wake up and steal a win on the road?

White Sox vs. Blue Jays Prediction and Pick
While I want to see the White Sox get back into the winner’s circle, I’m not sure today is the day that happens. I was way down on Johnny Cueto in his last start for Chicago and the veteran righty did not disappoint.
After starting the year with 12 scoreless innings, I knew he was in for a snap back to reality. Cueto is a legend, but he’s volatile and not getting any better in his late 30s. He ended up giving up five runs in 6 ⅔ innings while walking three and striking out two vs. the Cubs. Tonight he gets a much tougher test with the streaking Blue Jays on tap.
Not only is Cueto a risky bet on any day, but he is also going to have a bear of a time trying to outduel Alek Manoah. The 24-year-old righty has been amazing this year with a 1.77 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 56 innings. Considering the White Sox are the 27th-ranked team in runs per game and 23rd in home runs, I think Manoah and the Jays are a great bet to take this series finale.
Pick: Blue Jays RL -1.5 (+105)
