White Sox vs. Twins Prediction and Odds for Sunday, April 24 (Chicago's Offense Has Disappeared)
By Matt De Saro
A key AL Central series continues Sunday afternoon between the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins.
The White Sox were expected to run away with the division but have hit an early wall after a strong start. It happened so fast I hadn’t even noticed until now.
After yesterday’s 9-2 drubbing, the White Sox are now losers of six in a row. They have tumbled down the standings and now sit in third place in the AL Central. The White Sox were swept by the Guardians in their previous series and would suffer the same fate against the Twins with a loss tonight.

White Sox vs. Twins Prediction and Pick
The White Sox’s offense has completely evaporated over the last week. Chicago has scored three or fewer runs in their last nine games in a row. They rank 25th in batting average (.210), 24th in runs per game (3.29), and 29th in on-base percentage (.261). Shocking numbers from a team that many expected to bead down the AL Central again this year.
Their pitching hasn’t been all that either. Chicago ranks 20th in ERA (4.03) and 25th in walks per nine innings (3.88). As they turn to Lucas Giolito in his second start of the season, this is where things start to perk up for the South Siders. Giolito has the talent to be a superstar in this league and his first start was further evidence of this. While he went just four innings, Giolito allowed just one hit while striking out six. He was on a strict pitch count and was yanked after facing just 15 batters.
Chris Archer will toe the rubber for the Twins this afternoon in his third appearance of the year. Archer has also been impressive early on. In two starts, he has a 2.16 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with eight strikeouts in 8 ⅓ innings.
While the Twins are winning games, they aren’t putting up a ton of runs. They did manage nine yesterday, but before that, they had scored just three runs combined in their last three games.
Both these two starters have what it takes to keep these bats quiet, so it feels like a good spot to bet on a low scoring affair
Pick: UNDER 7.5 (-105)
