The Georgia Bulldogs will look to be the first team ever to defeat Nick Saban in a same-season rematch when they face the Alabama Crimson Tide tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

The line has moved slightly back and forth from 2.5 to 3, and then back to 2.5 over at WynnBET Sportsbook since opening. The total, which opened at 52.5, has also shifted back and forth down to 52, and then back to the original number as of Monday afternoon.

With just slight movement on both sides, how are public bettors, along with the sharps looking to attack tonight's matchup?

Here are the latest up-to-date splits for tonight's National Championship game courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook:

Georgia vs. Alabama Odds, Spread and Total for National Championship

Spread:

  • Georgia -2.5 (-115)
  • Alabama +2.5 (-105)

Moneyline:

  • Georgia -140
  • Alabama +115

Total:

  • 52.5 (OVER -110 | UNDER -110)

How Are Sharps, Public Betting Georgia vs. Alabama in the National Championship?

When it comes to bets on the spread, the Crimson Tide has the slight majority of both the betting tickets as well as the money. 59.1% of the bets have come in on Alabama +2.5/+3, with 64.5% of the betting handle also on the Tide.

On the moneyline, however, Alabama has a clear advantage of Georgia. 79% of the bets have Alabama at +115 odds (bet $100 to win $115). However, 98.8% of the money is on Alabama tonight to win over Georgia straight-up

Part of the reason for the massive moneyline split is due to a $1 million bet from legendary big money bettor Mattress Mack, who made the wager at WynnBET in Colorado.

Lastly, on the total, the OVER, not surprisingly, is seeing more action on both the public and sharp sides. 69.1% of the tickets are backing that the game goes past the projected over/under of 52.5, with 74.3% of the betting handle in agreement.

Back on Sunday, I highlighted the recent trend of OVERS hitting big over the last several College Football Playoff championship games. Most notably, Saban has coached in five of the seven national title games since the CFP format began, with the OVER hitting in all five.
