A potential first-round playoff matchup is going down in the Bay Area on Tuesday as Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors look to stay hot against Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns.

Curry scored 36 points and hit a clutch 3-pointer with the Warriors trailing by two on Monday night to take down the top-seeded Utah Jazz. Steph has been making it look easy every night as of late, and the Warriors have -110 odds to make the postseason on WynnBET because of it.

Tonight, Curry’s player prop projection for points on WynnBET is set for 35.5 and Vegas gives him 50-50 odds to score 36 or more with the under and over both set at -110. Every night Steph’s projections seem to go up, but he’s scored 30 or more points in nine of his last 10 games, so it is certainly warranted.

Booker, one of the best young scorers in the NBA, will try to match Curry’s scoring output on Tuesday as the No. 2 seed Suns look to gain some ground on the Jazz. Booker’s player prop projection is set at 27.5 points, but the over (+100) is the underdog to the under (-120).

Vegas already is putting Booker in a tough spot to outscore Curry, and the numbers back it up. Curry is averaging 36.0 points per game over his last 10 contests. Booker has scored just 16 and 21 points in his last two outings. Prior to the two-game slump, Booker had registered 30 or more points in four consecutive games. He can keep up with Steph if he finds his stroke on Tuesday.

The problem for Booker lately has been volume. He’s averaged just 13 shots per game over his last two games. Curry, on the other hand, hasn’t taken less than 21 shots in a game since April 27. The benefit of Steph having very little help is that he’s free to shoot it as many times as he desires.

Golden State has been playing winning basketball by letting Steph cook, and it will likely deploy the same game plan tonight against Phoenix. The Warriors need to win out if they want a chance of passing the Los Angeles Lakers for the No. 7 seed, and they want to hold off the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 8 spot.

Steph has it going right now, and even on the second night of a back-to-back we like him to outscore DBook. Steph has scored less than 20 points just one time in his past 20 games, so Booker is going to have to bring out all the tricks to keep pace and make this head-to-head matchup interesting.
