Wichita State vs. Tulsa Prediction and Odds (Back Shockers on the Road)
By Matt De Saro
Two of the worst teams that the American conference has to offer square off tonight with just our entertainment on the line... and maybe a unit or two.
The Wichita State Shockers have been shockingly bad this year and are currently ninth in the AAC with a 13-12 record. After starting the year at 5-1, things have not gone well. Not to be outdone, their conference rivals the Tulsa Golden Hurricane enter this game in 10th place with a 9-18 overall record.
These two teams have combined to go 7-22 in conference play and it will be interesting to see how this game pans out. I think there is a possibility that both teams just don’t care at all anymore and end up with a low pace and a low score.

Wichita State vs. Tulsa Prediction and Pick
I think that it's harder to predict two bad teams that match up well than it is two good teams with a tight spread. I suppose it's easier for me to compare a No 5 offense with a No. 15 than the 235th ranked scoring offense with the 251st. They are both bad, but the magnitudes of stink are not as large as you might think despite the gap.
The only major edges that I see in this game are that the Shockers have a pretty competent scoring defense and pull down an awful lot of rebounds. The Shockers also have a significant advantage in terms of steals, blocks, and boards per game over their opponents tonight.
The ATS records for these two teams are equally horrid and don’t offer much help here. But, the Shockers do enough little things that I feel good about siding with the favorites here.
Pick: Wichita State -3 (-110)
