Wild Wagering Trends for NFL Week 7
Week 7 of the NFL is here, and with it comes some more wild wagering trends.
If you blindly backed last week’s trends, you would have gone 1-2 with the Cowboys continuing their hot start being the only winner. It’s worth repeating that the Cowboys are now the only undefeated against the spread team left in the NFL, just one year after tying the NFL record for worst ATS start in history at 0-8.
We’ll have to wait a week to see if that trend will continue, as the Cowboys have a BYE in Week 7.
With that out of the way, let’s get into the top three most wild wagering trends for this week’s NFL action. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.
Panthers vs Giants +2.5 | Over/Under 43
The Giants are 8-21-1 ATS in last 30 home games
The Giants have been terrible at home in recent years. It’s not just the team as a whole either, it’s also their young quarterback, Daniel Jones. In his career Jones has thrown 25 touchdowns and seven interceptions on the road for a QB rating of 93.6. At home, which is where you’d assume players would play better, Jones has thrown 14 touchdowns and 19 interceptions for a QB rating of 74.3.
Not good.
To make matters worse, they host a Panthers team that’s 8-1 ATS in their last nine road games. New York has a lot of history working against it in Week 7.
Eagles vs. Raiders -3 | Over/Under 49
The OVER is 6-1 in last seven Raiders home games
I don’t know if it’s something about the degeneracy in the air of Las Vegas, but there’s been a plethora of points scored in the majority of Raiders home games recently. Raiders home games have a combined average score of 49.33 this season, so you may want to look towards this week with it set right at the number of 49.
Who doesn’t like cheering for points?
Saints vs. Seahawks +4.5 | Over/Under 43.5
Saints are 14-4 ATS in their last 18 road games
The New Orleans Saints have been true road warriors in recent years, as they’ve gone 14-4 ATS in their last 18 road games. If you take into account this year’s neutral site game in Jacksonville against the Packers, which was technically a home game to be fair, then they’re 15-4 against the spread away from Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
With Russell Wilson out for the Seahawks, this could be a prime spot to jump on this trend continuing when the two teams face each other on Monday Night Football.
