Novak Djokovic is halfway to history.

The No.1 ranked player in the world is chasing a calendar slam, a feat only two men’s tennis players have done before. The only two players to do it are Don Budge in 1938 and Rod Laver did it twice, in 1962 and 1969. No man has achieved the feat since 1969.

Less than two weeks ago, Novak Djokovic upset the “King of Clay'', Rafael Nadal at the French Open in the semifinal. He then came back from a two-set hole in the final against Stefanos Tsitsipas, and captured his second major of the year. With Wimbledon starting on Monday, Djokovic now has an opportunity to win the third major of 2021.

WynnBET currently has Djokovic as the overwhelming favorite to win it all in London, with his odds at -112. With the Wimbledon tournament being canceled last year due to COVID-19, Djokovic remains the reigning two-time champion.

Aside from chasing the calendar slam, Djokovic is also chasing another piece of history. A tournament win would tie him with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for most Grand Slam tournament wins by a man. Nadal isn’t going to be competing in Wimbledon because he is “listening to his body.” The other competitor Djokovic is chasing, Federer, will be at Wimbledon. His odds of winning are set at +800.

Aside from the all-time greats that will (or won’t) be competing in London, the man Djokovic beat to win the French Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas, has the second-highest odds to win. Tsitsipas is +550, with Daniil Medvedev (+600), Federer (+800), and Alexander Zverev (+1200) rounding out the top five.

Djokovic has made it to the final in four of the last five Grand Slams he’s competed in, which makes him taking the crown seem inevitable.
