Wings vs. Dream Prediction and Odds (Dream Look To End Skid Against Wings)

The Dallas Wings and the Atlanta Dream finish tonight’s slate off in A-Town, with playoff seeding on the line. Both teams are on the cusp of the playoffs, with the Wings currently in and the Dream out. 

With their record essentially the same, this is an extremely important game. This is their last meeting of the season, and will likely be involved in a tiebreaker situation. Who gets the upper hand tonight?

  • Dream: -1.5 (-110)

  • Wings: +100

Wings vs. Dream Prediction and Pick

These are two 12-win teams who’ve lost three of their last five games looking for a bounce-back win. Atlanta has the advantage in pace (3rd highest pace) and can speed Dallas up and out of their game. However, the Wings are better on both offense and defense at their 6th-ranked pace, so I think I’ll side with Dallas tonight. 

The Wings are nearly seven points per 100 possessions more efficient than the Dream on offense and average four points more per game. Atlanta’s defense is better, allowing 4.2 points less per 100 possessions than Dallas, but the offense has been its Achilles heel all season long. 

Dallas is also 16-11-1 ATS this season, while the Dream are 14-15. This is a small line, so I’ll look at the moneyline. Dallas’ last three losses have also come against top competition. The Wings have lost to the Storm, Mystics and twice to the Sky. I think they will be able to have a good showing against another subpar team. 

Record-wise, these teams are close. However, I like what I see on paper from the Wings more, so I’ll back Dallas tonight as small underdogs.
