The Dallas Wings and New York Liberty both entered the All-Star break on winning streaks, but one of those will come to an end on Wednesday night.

New York is on a four-game winning streak, and it beat Dallas by nine, 102-93 in the first meeting between these two teams this season.

The Wings have jumped into second place in the West with their three-game winning streak, but can they hang with one of the league’s best teams? The team’s three-headed attack of Natasha

Howard, Arike Ogunbowale and Satou Sabally will have their hands full with Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones and 3-point contest winner Sabrina Ionescu.

New York has struggled against the spread in the 2023 season, but there could be more value in a different bet in this game.

Let’s first break down the latest odds:

Wings vs. Liberty odds, spread and total

Wings vs. Liberty prediction and pick

The Liberty are home favorites in this game, but they’ve gone just 3-5 against the spread at Barclays Center this season.

I’m not saying that bettors should fully fade New York, but there is a better way to wager on this matchup.

Last time these two teams played, they combined for 195 points, and Stewart and Ionescu combined for 54 by themselves. We could see a similar recipe on Wednesday night.

The Wings come into this game playing the No. 2 pace in the WNBA, and they’ve cracked the top five in offensive rating, ranking fourth this season.

New York has hit the OVER in 11 of its matchups, and the team can really score the ball from deep, ranking No. 1 in 3-pointers made per game and No. 2 in overall field goal percentage this season.

If Dallas looks to push the pace, I think that plays into the hands of New York, who has the MVP favorite in Stewart.

I’ll back the OVER here with two of the best offensive teams in the league facing off.
