The second half of the WNBA season tips off at 3 p.m. ET / noon local time in Seattle when the Storm welcome the Dallas Wings to town for the final 12-14 game stretch of the year.

Seattle (14-8) comes in hot; winners of four of their last five and six of their last eight games. They most recently demolished the L.A. Sparks 106-69 on the road heading into the All-Star break. Dallas (10-12) got a nice win vs. Connecticut before the break, but had previously lost three in a row and four of their last five.

Both teams have beaten each other on the road this year, with the Storm sweeping a back-to-back in Dallas, but only by a combined six points in both games.

You can check out my latest power rankings based on Vegas odds heading into the start of the second half HERE, but for now, let's check out the latest odds over at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Wings vs. Storm Prediction and Pick

My initial lean for this afternoon's game was to fade the Storm. Sue Bird just went through all the accolades of her final All-Star Game, Breanna Stewart and Jewell Loyd also played a bunch, and all three head to travel back to Seattle from Chicago and now play an early tip on Tuesday.

I still think some fatigue could come into play, but not until later in the game.

After looking closer at some of the metrics, the Storm is playing at the highest pace in the WNBA during the first half over the last two weeks. They're also fifth in offensive rating in the first half since June 28 with a net rating of +17.9. Dallas on the other hand, is 3rd-worst with a -16.5 net rating in the first half of games.

I'll back Seattle to continue that trend this afternoon and take them to cover in the first half at home.

PICK: Storm 1H -4.5 (-110)
