Winning the Super Bowl Wasn't Enough for Rams to Earn Respect from Oddsmakers
With NFL training camps officially underway, it's about time that we start look at the odds to win Super Bowl 57.
One thing that confuses me, is where the oddsmakers have the defending champion Los Angeles Rams on the list.
Let's take a look at the latest top 10 Super Bowl odds, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook:

Rams Disrespect in Super Bowl Odds
I was heavy on the Rams last season, so maybe I'm biased, but what gives with the disrespect?
This is a team that's returning the majority of their roster after just winning the Super Bowl, but yet they have worse odds than the Buccaneers, who they beat in the playoffs, and who likely just lost their best offensive lineman in Ryan Jenson.
Even though they lost OBJ and Robert Woods to free agency, the Rams replaced them with Allen Robinson, who some might argue is even an upgrade.
Let's not forget that this Rams team also ranked third in net yards per play last season, behind only the Bills and the 49ers. Net Yards per Play measured the amount of yards gained per play on offense, substracted by the amount of yards given up per play on defense.
Simply put, it measures exactly how efficient a team is at both moving the ball down field, and preventing the other team in doing so. They ranked above the Buccaneers in this stat, who they have longer odds than, and also ranked significantly higher than the Packers and Chiefs, who they're tied with.
Not to mention they have one of the best young coaches in the game in Sean McVay.
So, am I missing something, or are the defending champions being completely disrespected by the betting odds?
