The No. 17 Michigan State Spartans became the latest victims of the beast that is Rutgers basketball at home. The Scarlet Knights stomped a mudhole in their conference rivals 84-63. The Spartans also narrowly avoided an upset the week before on the road against Maryland. The Spartans will host the No. 14 Wisconsin Badgers tonight in what should be one of the best games of the evening. The Badgers avoided an embarrassing loss to Penn State by just two points. The game was almost lost due in large part to Johnny Davis’ awful game. The current leader of the Player of the Year odds had just four points and shot less than 15 percent from the field. Both teams will look to get back on track here against a conference rival. Here are the odds for this Big Ten brawl, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Wisconsin vs. Michigan State Prediction and Pick

The Badgers are not only fighting to get into the top spot in the Big Ten, but they are also out for a bit of revenge. MSU trashed the Badgers 86-74 a few weeks back in a conference loss that Wisconsin could ill afford. I think this is a very winnable game for Wisconsin and that the Spartans are a team falling off the pace.

The Spartans have a decent scoring defense that ranks 82nd in the nation. But, they have had the luxury of facing some bad shooting teams. Penn State, for example, missed 19 of their first 20 shots and still only lost by one point. The Badgers are not exactly an offensive powerhouse, but they do have the current favorite to win the Naismith for what it’s worth. Despite his poor shooting against the Nittany Lions, Davis is a danger both on the court and on the glass.

I think Wisconsin gets the revenge they seek against an MSU team that has been playing worse and worse over the last few games.

Pick: Wisconsin +152 to win
