Purdue has climbed to No. 25 in the AP Poll after defeating the then-No. 2 Iowa Hawkeyes last week at Kinnick Stadium, 24-7. The connection between Boilermakers’ quarterback Aidan O’Connell and wide receiver David Bell was electric, with O’Connell throwing for 375 yards and two touchdowns and Bell catching 11 passes for 240 yards and a touchdown.

Wisconsin picked up a close victory over the Army Black Knights in Week 7, 20-14. The Badgers defense held the run-happy Black Knights to 277 total yards of offense, as Wisconsin’s defense has allowed just 14 points in its last two games, shutting out Illinois one week prior.

It’s Wisconsin’s great rushing offense versus Purdue’s great passing offense. 

The Boilermakers are allowing just 116 rushing yards per game and the Badgers are allowing just 161.5 passing yards per game. Both offensive focal points could struggle in this contest.

After defeating No. 2 Iowa on the road, I believe this Purdue team can outplay this Wisconsin defense at home. Receiver David Bell may be the most under-appreciated player in all of College Football and he is a huge X-factor for this contest. 

The Badgers’ quarterback Graham Mertz has thrown only two touchdown passes, but seven interceptions. I don’t trust him to get the job done against this Boilermakers team that is allowing 14 points per game.

I’m taking Purdue on the moneyline at +125 before it gets any lower.
