The Wisconsin Badgers won a chaotic game against No. 12 Houston on Tuesday afternoon, holding onto a 20-point halftime lead to win by two, to advance to the Maui Invitational Finals.

The Badgers got a heroic effort form Johnny Davis, who scored 30 of the team's 65 points in the victory.

They will face the St. Mary's Gaels, who have looked impressive in a close win over Notre Dame and a dominating double digit victory over Oregon.

Who will cut down the nets in the Maui Invitational? Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Wisconsin vs. St. Mary's Pick and Prediction

This game is interesting from a betting perspective. The Badgers have taken some money after opening at -1, but in a game that is going to have limited possessions, I'm not sure I can lay more than a bucket with the Badgers.

These are two strong defensive teams, each inside KenPom's top 20 in defensive efficiency, but I trust the Gaels' offense more, who are built around their motion offense and have an elite lead guard in Tommy Kuhse. The 6'2" guard has an assist rate of nearly 28% and will look to find lead scorer Dan Fotu early and often.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin has the best player on the floor in Davis. He was a one man wrecking crew on Tuesday against Houston, but this St. Mary's defense is disciplined on defense and will do a good job of forcing Wisconsin to shoot from the perimeter and close off driving lanes for Davis. Also, one has to wonder if he can keep up his insane level one day removed from a career outing.

The rest of the Badgers cooled off from deep in the second half of the semifinal game, nearly squandering a 20-point halftime lead, and with a total below 120, I'm not sure I can lay more than a point on either side.

Can Davis keep up his high level of play? Can either team generate enough offense from the perimeter to take this one home?

I'm not confident in either side, but I lean towards the team catching points in a game that each team is comfortable playing in the 50's.
