The Washington Wizards are hungry for a third straight win Wednesday night when they head to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. 

The Wizards are an impressive 7-3 to start the season and come off a strong win over the Milwaukee Bucks 101-94 Sunday night. Bradley Beal led the charge for the Wizards with 30 points and now averages 24.2 PPG to lead the team. Kyle Kuzma has been great with 9.4 rebounds per game and Spencer Dinwiddie leads the Wizards with 5.7 assists. 

The Cavs are also in the midst of a hot streak, winning their last four games including a 126-109 victory over the Knicks on Sunday. Veteran PG Ricky Rubio led all scorers with 37 points. On a down note, the team lost their leading scorer, Collin Sexton, with a meniscus tear.

Now that Sexton is out, Darius Garland is the leading scorer on the team with an average of 15.4 PPG. Despite Rubio’s explosion on offense Sunday night, he isn’t a huge scoring threat so somebody else will have to step up in Sexton’s place. 

This feels like a down game for the Cavs after the loss of Sexton. The offense basically ran through him and the entire strategy for Cleveland will need to be adjusted. I think they have a few games to get back up to speed and this leaves the door open for the Wizards to capitalize and cover as three-point road favorites.
