The Brooklyn Nets have won back-to-back games to get back to .500 on the season, and they have a chance to jump the Washington Wizards in the Eastern Conference with a win in their matchup on Wednesday night.

Kevin Durant has been dominant once again this season, scoring 45 points in the Nets’ win over Orlando on Monday and averaging 30.0 points per game while shooting 54.8 percent from the field.

Washington has been better than many (including myself) expected this season, but the team may be due for some regression since it ranks 23rd in the NBA in net rating.

The Wizards are just 3-6 on the road this season, but can they upset this Brooklyn team?

Here’s a look at the latest odds:

Wizards vs. Nets Prediction and Pick

If you’ve been reading my NBA content this season, you know that I am not high on the Wizards.

That doesn’t change tonight.

Washington is in the bottom half of the league in both offensive and defensive rating, and it’s gone 9-10-2 against the spread despite overachieving so far this season.

So why would I bet on them, especially on the road where the team has struggled?

Brooklyn is only 12th in the league in offensive rating, but it’s one of the best shooting teams in the NBA, posting the No. 4 effective field goal percentage in the league.

With Durant in the middle of a scoring heater, I think the Nets can handle this Wizards team that beat up on the Timberwolves, who lost Karl-Anthony Towns to injury, in their last game.
