Fresh off a 21-point upset victory over the Hawks, the 20-53 Detroit Pistons now host the 30-42 Washington Wizards tonight.

Detroit is the hottest bet in basketball, going 13-1-2 against the spread (ATS) over their last 16 games. The Wizards, on the other hand, are one of the worst bets in the sport. They're 2-7 ATS in their past nine contests and have won just once in the last three weeks.

Kyle Kuzma will miss tonight's matchup for a Washington team that has two wins over the Pistons already this season.

Can the Wizards cover as an underdog without their best active player or will Detroit stay hot and roll to a home victory?

Let's check out the odds over at WynnBET to help us find some value in this Wizards vs Pistons matchup:

Wizards vs Pistons Odds, Spread and Total

Spread:

  • Wizards: +3.5 (-110)
  • Pistons: -3.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Wizards : +140
  • Pistons: -170

Total:

  • 221.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Wizards vs Pistons Prediction and Pick

Hey, if the Pistons are just going to keep covering the spread every time they play, then I'm just going to keep betting on them.

Thanks to a finally healthy roster and Cade Cunningham's rapid ascension, Detroit has turned into a serviceable basketball team. They're 13th in net rating over their last 10 games and 11th in defensive rating - a remarkable improvement for one of the worst teams in the sport the last couple of years.

Cunningham is averaging 21.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7 assists during that stretch and looks more like a wily veteran than a guy who can't even legally drink yet.

The Wizards, just like they have been since December, are a disaster. They're 11-24-1 ATS on the road this year and haven't won away from home since February 17th. It's almost the end of March, in case you don't have a calendar around.

Washington has one of the worst defenses in the NBA and I don't think they'll be able to score enough without Kuzma to keep up. I love the Pistons to keep it rolling and see no reason to fade the hottest bet in sports.

Pick: Pistons -3.5 (-110)
