The second half of the WNBA season starts today with the Seattle Storm taking on the Chicago Sky and the Dallas Wings facing off against the Connecticut Sun. The season took a break because of the Olympics, but now all the top players are back to their respective teams to chase a championship.

The Las Vegas Aces are second in the Western conference standings, yet still the favorite to win the WNBA title. With the Aces at the top of the standings, finding out if any team is capable of beating them will be a fun thing to watch during the second half of the season.

Here are the updated odds standings heading into the second half of the year. All odds listed are via WynnBET.

Odds to win the WNBA Championship

  • Las Vegas Aces: +200
  • Seattle Storm: +290
  • Connecticut Sun: +380
  • Minnesota Lynx: +675
  • Chicago Sky: +1200
  • Phoenix Mercury: +2500
  • Dallas Wings: +2500
  • New York Liberty: +7500
  • Los Angeles Sparks: +10000
  • Indiana Fever: +20000
  • Atlanta Dream: +20000

Who is the Biggest Threat to the Aces?

Although the Aces are the favorite, they are not even the best team in their conference. The Seattle Storm are leading the West and are going to give the Aces the best run for their money. With Sue Bird and Breanna Stewart still there and at the top of their game, a back-to-back title for the Storm wouldn’t be shocking at all.

In the Eastern Conference, the Sun have a four-game lead over the Sky and will battle for the No.1 overall seed come playoff time. The Sun are led by Jonquel Jones, who is averaging 21.0 points per game. Chicago hasn’t been as successful as it thought it would be, but that is because Candace Parker missed the beginning of the season.

The Aces are finally at full strength now that Liz Cambage is back with the team. She opted out of last year’s bubble because she was at a higher risk of contracting COVID-19. With her and A’ja Wilson -- who is coming into her own this season -- Las Vegas should still be seen as the favorite, regardless of what its record says.
