World Series Odds: Brewers Are Best Team Nobody Is Talking About

Earlier this week I made the case for why you should bet on the Toronto Blue Jays to win the World Series.

I stand by that statement, but not everyone wants to bet on a team that still hasn’t clinched a playoff spot. There are also some people that like to have a World Series bet locked in for each league. If you fall into either of those categories, I offer you an alternative: the Milwaukee Brewers.

Everyone is talking about the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, Houston Astros, and Chicago White Sox being the top World Series contenders, but nobody is talking about the Brewers.

WynnBET is currently offering the Brewers at +800 (bet $100 to profit $800) odds to win the Fall Classic, and I think you’re getting some fantastic value at that price.

They’re getting overshadowed by the two NL West powerhouses in the Dodgers and Giants, but at 91-60, the Brewers have the third-best record in the National League and the fifth-best record in Major League Baseball.

The Brewers' success has been largely due to their pitching, and that’s exactly what can carry a team in the postseason. They rank third in the Majors in team earned run average at 3.37. Three of their starting pitchers boast a sub-four ERA, and Brandon Woodruff has proven to be one of the top arms in baseball this year.

The most important reason why the Brewers are a great sleeper to make the World Series, is that they won’t have to face the Dodgers or Giants until at least the NLCS. All signs indicate they will face the winner of the NL East in the first round of the playoffs, which has been a rough division all season.

Meanwhile, whoever doesn’t win the NL West between the Dodgers and Giants will have to win a wild card game, and then go on to face the division winner in the second round. That will leave an easier path for Milwaukee to get to the Fall Classic.

I love the Brewers' odds to win it all this year at +800 at WynnBET.
