Wyndham Championship Power Rankings (Odds for the Top Golfers at Sedgefield Country Club)
By Joe Summers
After a wild six-person playoff resulted in Kevin Kisner winning last year's Wyndham Championship, the PGA Tour returns to Sedgefield Country Club this week as the regular season nears its conclusion.
This is a critical opportunity for players to notch FedExCup points and the BetSided crew will have you covered all week with betting information you need to cash in on the huge tournament.
Before we jump into our favorite picks throughout the week, let's take a quick survey of the odds leaderboard at WynnBET Sportsbook to see the power rankings.
Wyndham Championship Power Rankings
1. Shane Lowry (+1600)
Lowry is consistently excellent, making the cut in 11 of his last 12 tournaments with four top-three finishes. Sedgefield Country Club requires precise iron play, and Lowry ranks 11th on Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach.
He's 13th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green and should find himself in contention come Sunday.
2. Sungjae Im (+1600)
Im got back on track with a T2 at the 3M Open and already has finishes of sixth and ninth at the Wyndham Championship. He's placed in the top 15 in four of his last seven tournaments and loves Bermuda grass.
Ranking sixth in Strokes Gained: Around-The-Green and 11th in Strokes Gained: Off-The-Tee, Sungjae just needs to dial in his irons and he'll post another strong result this weekend.
3. Will Zalatoris (+1600)
Zalatoris has been the Tour's best iron player this year, leading all golfers in Strokes Gained: Approach. With six top-six finishes in his last 11 tournaments, Zalatoris is the most consistent golfer in the field.
We're seeing a real dip in odds based on the last few tournaments for Willy Z, so bettors would be wise to take advantage.
4. Billy Horschel (+1800)
Horschel may seem like a poor fit at Sedgefield, as he ranks just 125th on Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach. Even still, he finished second at the 2020 Wyndham Championship and T5 in 2016, so Horschel has a history of success here.
With a victory and two second-place finishes already this season, Horschel has the win equity to get it done if he gets hot with his irons.
5. Webb Simpson (+2200)
Webb Simpson literally named his daughter Wyndham, in case you were wondering how much he loves this tournament.
He hasn't been as good this year, missing the cut in three of his last five competitions, but won the event in 2011 and finished T7 last year. There's no better time for Simpson to get back on track than his favorite weekend of the season.
6. Corey Conners (+2500)
Conners struggles around the greens, but ranks sixth in Strokes Gained: Off-The-Tee and 26th in Strokes Gained: Approach, so his ceiling is sky-high.
He's made the cut in four of his last five events with a sixth-place finish at the RBC Canadian Open and T13 at the Memorial. With these odds, Conners is certainly worth a look.
7. Si Woo Kim (+2500)
Si Woo is inconsistent but seems to be in strong form, finishing T14 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and T15 at The Open Championship. He finished T2 in the playoff last year, T3 in 2020 and won the Wyndham Championship in 2016.
With a history of success here, I'd be surprised if Si Woo isn't in contention once again.
8. Russell Henley (+2800)
Who could forget Henley's collapse at the 2021 Wyndham Championship, when he held the lead at the end of each of the first three rounds before missing short putts to not even make the playoff.
Henley surely had this weekend circled on his calendar all season and enters the tournament in great form, placing in the top-10 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. He's second on Tour in Strokes Gained: Approach and 11th in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, so we're getting great odds on what would be a fantastic redemption story.
9. Tyrrell Hatton (+2800)
Hatton made the cut in 13 of his last 14 tournaments with six top-13 finishes, including a T11 at the Open Championship.
One of the best on Tour with the flat stick, Hatton ranks fifth in Strokes Gained: Putting and 28th in Strokes Gained: Total.
10. Adam Scott (+3000)
Scott missed a four-foot putt to win last year's Wyndham Championship and like Henley, he hopes to avenge a disappointing result.
That's a costly putt, and I'll be curious if the yips get to him on any short birdies. Scott has four straight made cuts, including a T14 at the U.S Open and a T15 at the Open Championship.
