Wyoming vs. Air Force Prediction and Odds (Falcons to Cover at Home)
By Reed Wallach
Wyoming has emerged as an at-large threat in the NCAA Tournament, but they must avoid land mines like a 10-8 Air Force team as they continue on.
The Falcons are a sharp shooting three-point shooting team and will look to keep up with one of the elite offenses in the entire country, so how should we bet it?
Here are the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.
Wyoming vs. Air Force Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Wyoming: -8 (+100)
- Air Force: +8 (-120)
Moneyline:
- Wyoming: -350
- Air Force: +280
Total: 127.5 (Over -115/Under -105)
Wyoming vs. Air Force Prediction and Pick
This is a boom or bust Air Force team that is taking more than 50% from beyond the arc and Wyoming is going to oblige, allowing foes to take a sky high 42% three-point rate.
Air Force struggles to protect the rock, but Wyoming doesn't look to poke the ball free so that shouldn't be an issue. On the other side, Air Force's defense is based around a matchup zone which is a tough prep on short rest after Wyoming played on the road on Tuesday at Boise State.
The Cowboys have the best offense in Mountain West play but they are going to be one and done with their ghastly 18% offensive rebounding rate, which is lowest in MWC play. I believe the Falcons zone can give the visitors some issues while they look to hoist from three and stay close.
Don't sleep on the spot either. Wyoming faces Colorado State at home on Monday night, a battle of two of the top three teams in the Mountain West, possibly creating a lookahead spot here. I see value on Air Force given their high variance type of play that is worthy of a bet on Friday night.
PICK: Air Force +8, play to +7
