The 25-7 Boise State Broncos take on the 25-7 Wyoming Cowboys in the Mountain West Tournament Semifinals tonight at 9:30 PM EST.

Wyoming overcame a late charge from UNLV to advance while Boise State survived a scare against Nevada. These teams split the regular season series, with the Broncos winning by three in January and the Cowboys getting a 7-point victory a week later.

Does value lie with Boise State to win for the seventh time in eight games or will Wyoming notch their third straight win?

Let's check out the odds over at WynnBET to figure that out:

Wyoming vs Boise State Odds, Spread and Total

Spread

  • Wyoming: +2.5 (-110)
  • Boise State: -2.5 (-110)

Moneyline:

  • Wyoming: +120
  • Boise State: -145

Total:

  • 127.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Wyoming vs Boise State Prediction and Pick

Neither team has been stellar against the spread (ATS) down the stretch. Wyoming's win over UNLV snapped a three-game ATS losing streak and Boise State is just 4-7 ATS in their last 11.

This is an interesting matchup though, as both teams' respective strengths play into the other's weakness. In their last five games, Boise State is in the 87th percentile in offensive rating and 20th in defensive while the Cowboys are in the 14th and 88th, respectively.

As the Broncos' defense has struggled, the over has been a great bet. It's 10-2 over their last dozen contests and I show value on it again here.

Only twice has a Wyoming game closed with a total this low and considering it closed at 134.5 and 132 in the first two games these teams played, I think it's a few points too short. Neither team plays at a fast pace, but Boise State gets to the free throw line a ton and is in the 93rd percentile in true shooting percentage over their last five.

As we get deeper into conference tournaments, legs start to get tired on defense and I think we'll see quite a few free throws that help us push this over.

Pick: Over 127.5 (-110)
