The Wyoming Cowboys started their season 4-0, then lost four consecutive games, and snapped their losing streak last week against Colorado State, winning 31-17. 

Boise State were road underdogs last week against Fresno State, but picked up a strong win over the home favorites, winning 40-14.

Both Wyoming and Boise State appear to be out of the running to win the Mountain West Conference, but there is more than pride on the line, as both teams look for a win to become bowl eligible.

Wyoming did just fine in the softer portion of their schedule, but began to struggle when its schedule focused on its conference opponents. But they could be able to hang in this matchup with Boise State, based on how both teams line up.

The Broncos are a heavy passing offense. Passing defense is Wyoming’s defensive strength. The Cowboys are a run-first offense and should be able to pick up big chunks of yardage against a Boise State team that is stopping nothing. 

The Broncos last loss came against a heavy running Air Force offense on Oct. 16. Wyoming’s ground game should be able to churn down the clock and keep Boise State off the field.
