Xavier vs. Seton Hall Prediction and Odds (Fade the Points in New Jersey)
By Ben Heisler
The Xavier Musketeers look to close in on the top spots in the Big East when they head to Newark tonight to face the Seton Hall Pirates at the Prudential Center as short underdogs on the road.
Both teams are in the middle of a crowded field in the conference, with Xavier sitting just four games behind Providence at the top of the standings.
Can the Pirates defend their home court and return to .500 in conference play in a crucial matchup in their building?

Xavier vs. Seton Hall Prediction and Pick
Regardless of whether you buy into betting trends or choose to completely avoid them, the UNDER has hit in Seton Hall's last six games as well as five of the last six matchups for Xavier.
It's not just a short sample size either, as both teams have an under percentage this season of 61.9% (Xavier) and 65% (Seton Hall).
But if we want to take a closer look as to why, it's because both teams to a terrific job at limiting good shots. Seton Hall ranks 25th in the country in effective field goal percentage on the defensive side of the ball. Xavier ranks 45th. While they both force opposing offenses to take more bad shots, they actually both fall into that category as well when they have the ball. Xavier ranks just 139th in eFG %, whereas Seton Hall falls all the way down to 276th!
I like Seton Hall to win, particularly because they're such a good free throw shooting team, but I think this game has UNDER written all over it.
I don't love this number past it's current spot of 141, considering it opened at 143 and dropped almost immediately a full two points, but I think at it's current line. it's still very much in-play.
LEAN: UNDER 141 (-110)
