The New York Yankees’ bullpen has carried them this season, and it was no different on Tuesday night as the bullpen pitched 7.1 innings to lead the Yankees to a 4-1 win over the Detroit Tigers.

New York needs to figure out what is wrong with Gerrit Cole, who was dreadful on Tuesday, walking five batters in 1.2 innings. Luckily, it will get a much hotter starter in Luis Severino on the bump on Wednesday.

Severino will match up with Eduardo Rodriguez, who is looking for his first win as a Tiger.

Let’s get into the odds for this game via WynnBET

Yankees vs. Tigers Odds, Run Line and Total

Run Line:

  • Yankees -1.5 (+105)
  • Tigers +1.5 (-125)

Moneyline:

  • Yankees: -158
  • Tigers: +148

Total:

  • 7.5 (Over -110/Under -110)

Yankees vs. Tigers Prediction and Pick

These are two of the worst offenses in baseball through the first few weeks of the season. The Yankees are averaging just 3.09 runs per game, but the Tigers are somehow worse, averaging 3.00 runs per game.

Severino was magnificent in his last start, tossing five innings of two-hit ball against the Toronto Blue Jays, and I’d expect a similar performance against a lesser Tigers team.

The problem is the Yankees can’t score, and they needed a missed pop up to push across two runs in Tuesday’s game.

For that reason, I’ll lean with the under until one of these teams starts hitting.

Lean: UNDER 7.5 (-110)
