The Yankees are running circles around the competition, now 40-15 on the year.
Behind AL MVP leader Aaron Judge, the Yankees have continued to throttle all of baseball, but particularly their Wednesday opponent the Minnesota Twins.
Yankees beat the Twins, 10-4, to open this three-game series. They're now a hard-to-fathom 110-38 against the Twins since 2002, including the postseason. Yes. 110-38.

Yankees vs. Twins Prediction and Pick
The Yankees offense has been on a roll, scoring 5 or more runs in 4 of 6 games to start June, and I expect them to find success against Twins starter Chris Archer. While his ERA is sitting at 3.89, his FIP is more than 1 run higher at 4.94. He has been plagued by home runs over his career and his strikeout metrics continue to dwindle, he is punching out less than 8 batters per 9 innings this season, his lowest mark since 2013.
Against a Yankees offense that can do no wrong, Archer is in big trouble. Judge sits in the middle of the lineup with his MLB high 22 home runs, but Giancarlo Stanton is back in the lineup and crushing the ball once again. Here's his long ball from last night:

It may look scary taking an over with Cortes on the mound for the Yankees, but the Twins offense is formidable against lefties, 10th in batting average this season. With the Yankees ability to explode at the dish they may do the heavy lifting, but Minnesota has been a top 10 offense in baseball since May 22nd per wRC+, they can plate their fair share to clear this total.
LEAN: OVER 8.5
