The New Orleans Pelicans have their superstar.

Zion Williamson is everything he was hyped up to be and is now the clear best player on the Pelicans. New Orleans had a rough season last year. It missed the playoffs, had one of the worst defenses in the league and moved on from Stan Van Gundy after one year.

Willamson was the main attraction in New Orleans, averaging 27.0 points per game. That was an increase of nearly five points per game from his rookie year. Williamson finished in the top 10 on the scoring list. This year, he’s expected to take another step and contend for a top five finish on the scoring list.

WynnBET has set Williamson’s odds to lead the league in scoring at +900, sixth in the league. Williamson is right behind Joel Embiid (+750) for the fifth-best odds in the league.

Williamson finished eighth in scoring last season and didn’t average one made 3-pointer a game. He took a step back in his 3-point shooting last year, going from 42.9% to 29.4%. If he can raise his level of shooting from behind the arc, Willamson will be sure to contend for a scoring title in the near future.

He’s able to compensate for his lack of shooting by being one of the most efficient players in the NBA. Williamson shot 61.1% from the floor last year, which was third among players who played at least 30.0 minutes per game.

With his frame and power, Williamson takes some of the most beating in the league. He took the third-most free throws per game last season, which is always good to get easy points.

Williamson needs to improve his shooting, but he can do everything else -- at a high level. With Lonzo Ball gone and the ball set to be in his hands as a creator more, Williamson is going to have an amazing season.
