The 2022 NBA Draft had twists and turns at the top.

While Paolo Banchero went No. 1 to the Orlando Magic, shocking the NBA world, Iowa's Keegan Murray went No. 4 to the Sacramento Kings, ahead of projected pick Jaden Ivey.

The Kings were subject to trade rumors at the top of the draft since the lottery, as the team has guards De'Aaron Fox and Davion Mitchell in the fold already and Ivey has been thought of as the No. 4 prospect in this class. However, the Kings were reportedly asking for a high price and stood pat, taking Murray, who the team was connected to in the days leading up to the Draft.

Murray closed at +200 at consensus sportsbooks to be the No. 4 pick.

Ivey ended up being selected at No. 5 to the Detroit Pistons, pairing him with 2021 No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham. The Purdue guard was +500 to be selected fifth.

It's worth noting that the New York Knicks are reportedly trying to trade for Ivey, who the team was discussing moving up to No. 4 and selecting.
