3 Best NBA Prop Bets for Mavericks vs. Suns Game 7 (Predictions for Devin Booker, Luka Doncic, Chris Paul)
By Peter Dewey
It’s almost impossible to ask for a better day in the NBA, as Sunday’s Game 7s should be two games for the ages.
The Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks have traded home games all series, and now everything comes down to a decisive Game 7 in Phoenix. The Suns are 6.5-point favorites in this game, with a low total at 204.5.
Here are three player props at WynnBET Sportsbook that are worth considering for Game 7:
Best Prop Bets for Mavericks vs. Suns Game 7
- Devin Booker OVER 28.5 Points (-105)
- Luka Doncic UNDER 53.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-125)
- Chris Paul UNDER 16.5 Points (-135)
Devin Booker OVER 28.5 Points (-105)
This may be the only OVER that I’m comfortable with betting in this game, and it still comes with some volatility.
Booker has cleared 28.5 points in just two games since returning from his hamstring injury, but he’s taking a ton of shots (18.5 per game in this series, as well as 6.5 free throws per game) which bodes well for him hitting this prop.
This is going to be Booker vs. Doncic, and whichever star has the bigger game may carry his team to a win. I like Booker to be aggressive early and often with the series on the line.
Luka Doncic UNDER 53.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-125)
Yes, Luka Doncic averages an insane 39.0 points per game in playoff elimination games in his career, but this number is way too high for me to get to on Sunday.
The total in this game at WynnBET is set at 204.5, which means there are only going to be so many offensive possessions and numbers than Doncic can put up.
In this series, Doncic has points, rebounds and assists (PRA) numbers of 65, 47, 48, 44, 41 and 52.
He’s played in nine playoff games this season, and he’s cleared this total just one time. That game? Game 1 against Phoenix where he scored 45 points and took a playoff-high 30 shots.
It’s possible Doncic does that given his elimination game track record, but he was also facing elimination in Game 6 and had 33 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists (52 PRA).
Game 7s usually are a slower pace with so much on the line, so I’ll take the under on this juiced number for Doncic tonight.
Chris Paul UNDER 16.5 Points (-135)
Chris Paul has really struggled in this series, scoring just 37 points over his last four games, and I don’t think that changes in Game 7 with such a low total.
Paul is going to try and exorcise some demons on Sunday, as he is 3-4 in Game 7s in his career. Still, the Mavericks have done a good job limiting him with a bigger defender in Reggie Bullock shadowing him. I think the UNDER is the play in this matchup.
