3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today For Mavericks vs. Knicks (Back Luka Doncic, Julius Randle)
By Peter Dewey
The New York Knicks will host Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
New York is coming off one of its better wins of the year on Monday, but it will face a tough test with a Mavericks team that has won six straight games.
WynnBET Sportsbook has the Mavericks as a 2.5-point favorite in this matchup, but I think there is some value on a few props in this game.
Best Prop Bets For Mavericks vs. Knicks
- Dorian Finney-Smith OVER 10.5 Points (-105)
- Julius Randle to Record a Double-Double (+100)
- Luka Doncic OVER 9.5 Assists (+110)
Dorian Finney-Smith OVER 10.5 Points (-105)
With Kristaps Porzinigis in the league’s health and safety protocols, Finney-Smith is going to continue to see a bigger role on offense. He’s averaging 10.5 points per game this season, and the 3-and-D wing has scored in double-figures in 13 consecutive games.
Of those 13 games, Finney-Smith has scored more than 10 points in nine of them, and he’s been hot from beyond the arc, shooting 41.6% from 3 over that stretch.
The Knicks are improving defensively, but they still allow 13 made 3-pointers per game, which is 22nd in the NBA. If New York collapses on Luka’s drives, Finney-Smith could be a major beneficiary.
Julius Randle to Record a Double-Double (+100)
Julius Randle’s double-double prop has been taken down at WynnBET, but consensus has him at +100 to record the feat against Dallas.
Last season, Randle posted a double-double in both of the New York Knicks’ games against the Dallas Mavericks, and he’s averaging 19.0 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season.
Randle has put up double-digit rebounds in six of his last seven games, and he’s facing a Dallas team that is middle of the pack (16th) in rebounding percentage this season.
While Randle scored just two points in his last game, he has followed single-digit scoring performances this year in a big way, scoring 24, 31 and 30 points in his last three games following single-digit showing.
I like the plus odds on Randle to grab a double-double against the Mavs tonight.
Luka Doncic OVER 9.5 Assists (+110)
We are getting a ton of value on this prop, as Doncic is averaging 9.0 assists per game but has put up 10, 15, 8 and 14 dimes over his last four games.
The Knicks will likely try to take him away and dare others to beat them, and that could allow Doncic to wreak havoc as a passer on Wednesday.
New York allows 24.2 opponent assists per game this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the All-Star guard helps push Dallas over that number as a team tonight.
