3 Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Pistons vs. Warriors (Back Steph Curry, But Fade Klay Thompson)
By Peter Dewey
The Golden State Warriors are massive favorites at WynnBET Sportsbook, 15-point favorites to be exact, when they host the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.
Steph Curry and company have been struggling as of late, posting the third worst offensive rating in the NBA over their last 10 games, but this could be a spot where the Warriors get back on track.
Here are three player props that I have my eye on for this Tuesday night showdown:
Best Prop Bets for Pistons vs. Warriors
- Steph Curry OVER 25.5 Points (-120)
- Klay Thompson UNDER 15.5 Points (-115)
- Saddiq Bey UNDER 5.5 Rebounds (-115)
Steph Curry OVER 25.5 Points (-120)
It’s only a matter of time that Curry breaks out of this mini slump that he’s in, and the Pistons’ No. 23 defense is a great place to start.
Detroit allowed 135 points against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, and while Curry hasn’t shot particularly well as of late, he’s still cleared this number in two of his last four games.
Anytime I can get Steph’s point total at a number below his season average of 26.3, I feel like I have to take it. Let’s hope his 3-point shot is finding the net early and often tonight.
Klay Thompson UNDER 15.5 Points (-115)
It’s great for the NBA and the Warriors that Klay Thompson is back in the lineup, but it’s going to take some time before he looks like the Klay of old.
Thompson has failed to hit the over on this number in three of his four games since returning, and he’s shooting just 35.7 percent from the field and from 3.
The Warriors guard isn’t going to play big minutes, and while the volume may be there, I think we’re asking a lot considering he’s averaging just 12.7 shots per game after taking 18 in his season debut.
Saddiq Bey UNDER 5.5 Rebounds (-115)
Saddiq Bey may be averaging 6.1 rebounds per game on the season, but I’m fading him tonight when he faces Golden State’s strong defense that ranks fifth in the NBA in rebounding percentage.
Bey has failed to eclipse this total in three straight and five of his last seven, and he hasn't recorded more than six boards in a game since Jan. 3.
The Pistons are very vulnerable to getting blown out, and that could leave very few defensive boards for Bey. I’ll gladly fade him in this spot.
