The dominant trend this NFL season has been betting on the "under," as wagering on low scoring games has hit at a 60% clip through the first four weeks.

Even though betting on unders overall has been profitable, that doesn’t mean that betting on a team to hit the over is the wrong thing to do.

I’m fact, there are several teams in which betting overs has been the smarter course of action.

Through four weeks of the 2022 season, here are the best teams to bet the over on.

Best NFL Over Bets So Far This Season

Detroit Lions (4-0)

For years, we’ve known the Lions to be one of the worst teams in the league, but this is a different Detroit team. They are explosive on offense and are putting up points like nobody else.

The Lions are first in the league in points and yards per game. They surpassed their point total expectation by 21.3 points across the first four games. With their defense coming in as one of the worst in the league, Detroit has found itself in shootout after shootout. Until they show some resistance on that side of the ball, keep betting the over.

Cleveland Browns (3-1)

The Browns being on this list doesn’t make much sense to the naked eye. They want to rely on a good defense, the running game and playing the ball control game to get wins. However, when Nick Chubb is your running back, your offense gets vaulted to the top.

Chubb is having an amazing season thus far, ranking in the top 3 in carries, yards and touchdowns. His success has made the Browns a top 6 offense.

The defense also hasn’t held up its end of the bargain — ranking 19th in points per game. If Chubb is healthy, this is a dangerous Browns team.

Atlanta Falcons (3-1)

Atlanta was supposed to be the worst team in the league. Yet they sit at 2-2 with the No. 8 scoring offense in the league. The Falcons have played some suspect defenses, but scoring is scoring.

They’ve found a stud in Drake London, and Cordarrelle Patterson carried the offense in the first part of this season. If Atlanta can continue to be successful on the ground, they’ll be able to keep control of games and keep scoring points.

The Falcons’ defense is also 25th in points per game and 24th in yards per play, which helps a lot. They are likely going to be either trailing and have to fight back or they’ll be able to run the score up on the ground.
