The Kansas City Chiefs are in Los Angeles to face the Chargers in a game that may decide the AFC West this season. For a full game preview and prediction, you can check it out here, but this article is going to focus on the prop market from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Here are three that caught my eye ahead of this pivotal matchup.

Chiefs vs. Chargers Best Prop Bets

  • Justin Herbert OVER 16.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
  • Patrick Mahomes UNDER 38.5 Pass Attempts (-115)
  • Patrick Mahomes to Score a Touchdown (+400)

Justin Herbert OVER 16.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Herbert has only cleared this total five times on the year, but is averaging more than 20 yards per game on the ground overall.

I see the Chargers quarterback having plenty of opportunities to take off against Steve Spagnuolo's blitz-heavy scheme with the Chiefs. If Kansas City brings a ton of pressure, Herbert is going to need to escape the pocket and may look to take chunks of yardage with his legs.

In a big game with divisional implications, I see a more conservative approach from Herbert and his big arm, opting to keep the ball and run rather than pump it down field with his rocket arm strength.

After rushing for four yards on two carries in a blowout win over the Giants, I think we are getting a cheap price.

Patrick Mahomes UNDER 38.5 Pass Attempts (-115)

This is simply a numbers play.

Mahomes has gone under this prop in his last three games, and I expect Andy Reid and the Chiefs offense to attack the Chargers on the ground. LAC has the worst defensive rush success rate in the league this season, and I expect the Chiefs revitalized rush game to have their way.

Since Week 8, the Chiefs are top five in EPA per Rush, and I expect a methodical pace to this Thursday night game featuring a ton of rushing plays, limiting Mahomes passing volume.

Patrick Mahomes to Score a Touchdown (+400)

In a similar vein to the Mahomes prop above, I'm going to back him to get in the end zone. While he only has two rushing touchdowns on the year, I expect him to have the ball in his hands inside the 10 yard line and if necessary tuck it and run it in.

The Chiefs do opt to pass near the goal line with a lot of misdirection plays, and I'll take my chances at this price that all the window dressing ends with Mahomes rushing into the end zone.
