Game 1 of the 2021 World Series between the Houston Astros and Atlanta Braves will begin at 8:09 p.m. EST on Tuesday night.

Framber Valdez will take the mound for Houston against Atlanta’s Charlie Morton in what should be a great matchup.

We’ve previewed this game and series, but what are some of the best prop bets for Tuesday’s game? Here are three that I have my eye on at WynnBET:

Best Prop Bets for Braves vs. Astros Game 1

  • Framber Valdez OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-150)
  • Alternate Total UNDER 8.0 Runs (+100)
  • First Five Innings Run Line: Astros -0.5 (+115)

Framber Valdez OVER 3.5 Strikeouts

I am all about Framber Valdez after he spun a gem against the Boston Red Sox in Game 5 of the ALCS.

Valdez has struck out 13 batters in 15.0 innings so far this postseason, and he ‘s facing a Braves team that is 23rd in MLB in terms of strikeouts per game at 9.09.

Valdez may not go eight innings again, but if he can make it out of the first few frames, four strikeouts should be very achievable, especially since the Braves boast several lefty hitters in their lineup.

Alternate Total UNDER 8.0 Runs (+100)

I’m looking to get some value on the total in this game, and I think the under is the play considering Morton has allowed two runs in each of his three postseason starts.

The Astros bullpen has been dominant as of late, and Houston allowed just three runs over the final 27 innings of the ALCS.

I’ll take the under here considering the Braves have gone under this total in both of their Game 1s this postseason while Houston’s totals in Game 1s have been seven and nine runs respectively.

First Five Innings Run Line: Astros -0.5 (+115)

While Morton has been solid this postseason, he has allowed two runs in each outing and is now facing a Houston team that knows him pretty well from his time with the Astros.

I’m going to back the best offense in baseball to get off to a hot start at home and cover this run line through five. At +115, it’s one of my favorite bets for this game.
