3 Best Prop Bets for Patriots vs. Falcons on Thursday Night Football
By Peter Dewey
The New England Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the NFL, and they’ll look to build on a blowout win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 11 against the Atlanta Falcons.
Atlanta hasn’t covered the spread in its last six games against the Patriots, and we all know the 28-3 jokes will be flowing on Thursday Night Football.
New England is currently favored by 6.5 points at WynnBET Sportsbook, but there are some props that I have my eye on in this matchup:
Best Prop Bets for Patriots vs. Falcons
- Hunter Henry OVER 30.0 Receiving Yards (-110)
- Russell Gage OVER 3.5 Receptions (-135)
- New England Patriots -9.5 vs. Atlanta Falcons (+130)
Hunter Henry OVER 30.0 Receiving Yards (-110)
Hunter Henry has gone over this receiving total in seven of his ten games this season, and even though he’s cooled off after completing it in the first five games of the season, I think he and Mac Jones continue to build on their rapport on Thursday.
Henry has three touchdown catches in the past two games, and he’s coming off a four-catch, 37-yard performance against the Browns.
The Falcons allow the 10th-most yards per play in the NFL, so I expect this to be an easy game for a Patriots offense that has been rolling as of late.
Russell Gage OVER 3.5 Receptions (-135)
Russell Gage didn’t catch a pass in Atlanta’s blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys last week, but he did make seven catches on eight targets the week before against the New Orleans Saints.
Bill Belichick is famous for taking away another team’s top weapon, and with Calvin Ridley out and Cordarrelle Patterson trending in the same direction, I wouldn’t be surprised if Belichick forces someone other than rookie tight end Kyle Pitts to beat the Patriots tonight.
I also think Atlanta is going to be trailing in this game, so there should be plenty of chances for Gage to see the ball.
New England Patriots -9.5 vs. Atlanta Falcons (+130)
I’m going to listen to my BetSided colleague Iain MacMillan and back the Patriots to blow out an Atlanta team that has struggled against top opponents so far this season.
Grabbing the Patriots to win by 10 or more provides some solid value at +130, and New England has outscored its opponents 69-13 over the last two games. Mac Jones and company are rolling right now, and I don’t think this weak Atlanta defense will stop them.
