The Boston Red Sox are a game away from advancing to the ALCS, as they took a 2-1 series lead on the Tampa Bay Rays after a thrilling 13-inning win in Game 3.

Boston now has the American League’s best team on the ropes heading into Game 4 at Fenway park with Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound.

The Rays will send opener Collin McHugh to the mound in this one after he was tagged for three runs in Game 2 while Boston will send Eduardo Rodriguez back out after a rough outing in Game 1.

Both teams were pushed to the limit in Game 3, but the bullpens will have to respond in a big way for either team to get the win. Tampa Bay used nine pitchers in Game 3, but it is relying on its American-League best pen to force a winner-take-all Game 5 at Tropicana Field.

Our own Reed Wallach previewed this game and gave his pick, but what prop bets make sense in a pivotal Game 4?

Here are some that I have my eye on ahead of tonight’s matchup with all odds via WynnBET:

Eduardo Rodriguez UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Alex Cora was quick to pull Rodgriguez in Game 1 and I wouldn’t expect him to let Game 4 get out of hand either.

While Boston does have the lead in the series, the Red Sox are going to want to take advantage of having home field tonight. If E-Rod struggles early, his night is going to be over in a hurry.

This season, the Rays are hitting .277 with four homers against Rodriguez. While he has struck out 24 batters in 21.0 innings against Tampa Bay, I don’t think he lasts long enough to hit the over on this prop.

Tampa Bay Rays Team Total OVER 4.5 Runs (-110)

As our own Reed Wallach pointed out in his preview, both of these teams are running on fumes after last night’s marathon of a game.

With both team’s bullpens already stretched pretty thin, there’s a good chance a lot of runs are scored in this one. Rodriguez has a 4.71 ERA against the Rays this season, and with Nick Pivetta out of the picture for Boston tonight, I like Tampa Bay to score a lot in this one.

Not sure if the Rays’ pitching will hold up, but give me the over on this considering the under is juiced to -120 odds.

J.D. Martinez to Hit a Home Run (+420)

Going to take a shot with this last prop, but Martinez hit a crucial three-run shot in Game 2 off Matt Wisler to put Boston ahead for good.

Only Xander Bogaerts (+430) and Wander Franco (+445) have shorter odds at WynnBET to homer in this game, and given Martinez’s power I feel that this could be a steal.

J.D. is still nursing an ankle injury, but he’s played in the last two games and should get a chance to tee off on a fatigued Rays bullpen in this one.
