The Los Angeles Angels tried everything to snap out of their 14 game losing streak. They even resorted to playing Nickelback for the walk-up music for their entire lineup. Eventually, the Baseball Gods had heard enough Chad Kroeger to finally allow L.A. a much-needed victory.

Fresh off a 14-game losing streak Thursday night, the L.A. Angels now hope to do something they haven't done since May 22; take at least two games in a three-game series.

They host the Mets at Angel Stadium tonight on Sunday Night Baseball as right-hander Taijuan Walker faces lefty Patrick Sandoval. I'm already on the Angels to win this game, but I also think Patrick Sandoval will hit the OVER on his strikeout total of five.

The Mets haven't necessarily been a bad team when it comes to the strikeout department, they do have a higher strikeout rate against lefties than righties. They strikeout on 19.2% of plate appearances against right-handed pitchers, 20.1% of plate appearances against right-handed pitchers.

Taijuan Walker UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-140)

Walker has put together a very solid 2022 campaign, but a large part of his success is his newfound success pitching to contact.

This year in New York, Walker has a strikeout/9 innings of just 4.82; amongst the lowest in baseball. He's also upped his ground ball percentage to the highest level it's been since 2017 in Arizona.

Have the Angels been in a funk offensively? Of course. Since June, they've hit just .217 as a team with a weighted runs created plus (wRC+) of 84. However, they've also shown signs of breaking out of it too; ending their 14-game streak on Thursday and taking Game 2 of the series behind two home runs from Mike Trout.

Walker isn't going to blow anyone away and the line feels too aggressive for someone who has hit this prop just once all season in nine starts. -- Ben Heisler
