3 Best Props Bets for Steelers vs. Chiefs: The Steelers Offense is out of Gas

The Steelers need a bounce-back game in a bad way but their passing attack is pretty much DOA heading into Week 16.

The Pittsburgh Steelers hit the road to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week 16. Overall, the Steelers have been a massive disappointment and will probably have to rebuild from the ground up next year. The Chiefs, meanwhile, have turned things around and are back in the mix for the Super Bowl heading into Week 16.

Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

3 Best Prop Bets for Steelers vs Chiefs

  • Ben Roethlisberger UNDER 242.5 Passing Yards (-115)
  • Najee Harris OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards (-125)
  • Chase Claypool UNDER 45.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

Ben Roethlisberger UNDER 242.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Big Ben is a legend, Hall-of-Famer, and one of the best players to ever suit up for the Steelers. He also probably should have hung ‘em up after last season and called it a career. It has been hard to watch him struggle this season even as someone who kind of dislikes him.

Last week, Roethlisberger was held to just 148 yards on 16 completions by the Tennessee Titans. For reference, the Titans routinely get shredded by opposing quarterbacks and are one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL.

The Chiefs also struggle on defense but their issues have been more with stopping the run. The Chiefs have only allowed one QB to go over this total in the last seven weeks and that was Derek Carr. They have played tight defense against Dak Prescott and Justin Herbet in that span and I don’t think Big Ben is on the same level right now. His tank is about dry and I think he falls flat tonight

Najee Harris OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards (-125)

If the Steelers have a shot at this game, they will need Big Ben to do exactly the opposite of what I outlined above. In order to do that, Harris has to put in some work to keep the Chiefs defense off-balance. While I don’t think it will matter much to the outcome of this game, I think Harris does find success on the ground tonight. He enters Week 16 with 891 yards and six touchdowns on 3.8 yards per attempt. The Chiefs have gotten better on defense, but they are vulnerable to the run and have allowed 115.8 rushing yards per game to opponents.

Chase Claypool UNDER 45.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

In his 12 games this season, Claypool has 465 yards on 47 catches and just one touchdown. To say this season has been a letdown after his amazing rookie campaign would be an understatement. Last week against the Titans, Claypool was targeted just twice and was essentially benched. He did rush once but all in all, this is a bad sign for his production this week. In his last four games, he has three or fewer catches in three and I think after last week, he cannot be trusted to perform moving forward.
