3 Player Props to Bet for Chiefs vs. Ravens
Primetime NFL football is built for player props!
Unlike the early games, it’s the only one we’ll all be watching so our eyes will be glued to our television sets for the 3+ hours that it’s on. Who wants to only have one bet placed on these games?
Not me.
Give me as much action (responsibly) as I can get on a game.
Tonight’s edition of Sunday Night Football is going to be a good one. The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Baltimore Ravens in a battle between two of the top teams in the AFC.
The Ravens are set as 3.5-point underdogs at WynnBET as they attempt to rebound after a tough overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night. The total for the game is set at a high number of 54.
But with that out of the way, let's get to my three favorite players props for the big game.
Lamar Jackson Over 70.5 rushing yards -125
I would advise you to take the over on one of the Ravens rushing total tonight. I opted to bet on Lamar Jackson’s considering we’re not entirely sure how the carries will be split between Ty’Son Williams and Latavius Murray. What we do know is Jackson is going to run the ball a fair amount. He led the Ravens in carries last week with 12.
Despite the win against the Cleveland Browns, the Chiefs gave up an eye-popping 5.9 yards per carry on the ground. That was the highest mark in the NFL next to the Atlanta Falcons at 5.6.
The Chiefs better hope that number was an anomaly, because now they face the top rushing attack in all of football. I think Lamar gets it done with his feet tonight so I’ll take the over 70.5 rushing yards at -125.
Tyreek Hill Over 92.5 receiving yards -125
Just like how the Chiefs gave up the most yards per carry in Week 1, the Ravens gave up the most yards through the air allowing the Raiders to amass 409 passing yards. That leaves us no choice but to fade their passing defense, and take the over 92.5 receiving yards for the Chiefs top receiver, Tyreek Hill.
Hill hauled in 11 catches for 197 yards in their Week 1 game against the Browns, so he’s clearly once again Patrick Mahomes’ favorite target. I expect him to surpass the 100 yard mark again tonight.
Latavius Murray to score a TD +175
We may not know how the Ravens plan on splitting carries between their running backs tonight, but if last week was any indications, Latavius Murray should get his fair share of looks at the goalline.
Murray scored on an 8-yard run against the Raiders last week, and it seemed like the Ravens opted for him more than Williams when they got close to the endzone. It makes sense, as getting the ball across the goalline takes a little bit more experience than running the ball at midfield, so opting for the veteran back seems like a smart move.
I think there’s a lot of value on this prop at +175.
