The NFL is back!

We are just hours away from the opening kickoff of the 2021 season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get ready to host the Dallas Cowboys.

If you’re new to betting, keep in mind that the spread, total, and moneyline aren’t the only betting options available. You can also bet on several player props, which are bets on individual players and how they will perform.

If you want to see the spread, odds, and total as well as a prediction for the game, check out our Cowboys vs. Bucs game preview.

But let’s talk player props.

Here are my three favorite player props for tonight’s opening game. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

CeeDee Lamb OVER 62.5 Receiving Yards -125

The second-year receiver will look to take another step forward after his impressive rookie campaign, and having Dak Prescott back in the lineup will do nothing but help his cause.

Lamb surpassed this number in four of the five games that Prescott was under center last year, and the only time he didn’t was in the opening game against the Los Angeles Rams, who had arguably the best defense in football.

You also have to assume that with the Buccaneers being 8.5-point favorites, they’ll have the lead late in the game which will be a perfect opportunity for some garbage time yards from Lamb.

Tom Brady UNDER 306.5 Passing Yards -110

It may seem crazy to take this bet considering how hot Brady was late in this season last year, but throwing for over 306.5 yards isn’t an easy feat. In his 20 games last season, Brady only hit the 300-yard mark eight times.

Furthermore, if the Bucs take a big lead, watch for them to turn to the running game to kill the clock. Brady won’t be slinging it in the fourth quarter if Tampa Bay has a two-touchdown lead.

I think the current number of 306.5 is a little bit too aggressive, give me the under.

Antonio Brown OVER 4.5 Receptions -105

This is a pretty easy one to figure out. Antonio Brown averaged 5.6 receptions per game with the Bucs last season, and we’re getting favorable juice at -105. Seems like a no brainer to me.

It remains a mystery who will be Brady’s top target among Brown, Mike Evans, and Chris Godwin, but Brown showed last season that he has chemistry with his quarterback. The two connected for an eye-popping 11 receptions in their Week 17 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

4.5 receptions should easily be manageable for Brown in tonight’s opening game.
