Army vs. Air Force Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for College Football Week 10
By Matt De Saro
The annual Commander-in-Chief Trophy goes to either Army, Navy or Air Force, depending on how each of their head-to-head games ends up. After beating Navy in September, Air Force can clinch the trophy this weekend in Arlington, Texas.
The Falcons are coming off a loss to San Diego State that dropped them to 6-2 and would love to use this rivalry game as a bounce-back opportunity.
Army is not going to be a pushover though and is in the middle of a solid 4-3 season. It is a bit worrisome that Army’s three losses have all come in the last three games with the last being a 70-56 slobberknocker against No. 9 Wake Forest. The other losses came to No. 21 Wisconsin and unraked Ball State.

Army vs. Air Force Prediction and Pick
Coming into this matchup. Army and Air Force have played a total of 55 times with the Falcons leading 37-17-1 all-time. Worth noting that this game will be taking place at Globe Life Park in Arlington Texas. It is the first game between the two taking place on neutral ground since 1965.
This is a tough game to make a call on because both teams are so evenly matched in many areas. Army has a slight disadvantage on the defensive side of the ball and ranks 109th in yards per play allowed and 117th in yards per passing attempt.
I think that this game comes down to how well Army does against Air Force running back Brad Roberts who is having a career year. Roberts is 16th in the nation in yards per game on the ground and went over 100 in five of his eight games this season. Air Force has the capability to spread the ball around, but also feature a true talent in the backfield.
Being a rivalry game with a trophy on the line, I expect this to be a very close game down to the wire. But, in the end, I think Air Force eeks out a cover over their rivals and gets revenge for last season’s 15-0 shutout loss.
Pick: Air Force -2.5 (-110)
