The Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox will play Game 4 of the ALDS on Tuesday afternoon at 2:07 p.m. EST. Game 4 had previously been scheduled for Monday, but it was postponed.

Houston took the opening two games of the series at home, but the White Sox stormed back in Game 3 for 12 runs to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Carlos Rodon, who was a Cy Young candidate early in the season, will take the mound for Chicago in a must-win Game 4 against Houston’s ace Lance McCullers.

Originally, Jose Urquidy was scheduled to pitch for the Astros, but the extra day of rest allowed Dusty Baker to bring back McCullers with a chance to close out the series in Game 4.

Rodon hasn’t thrown more than five innings in a start since July 24, but he also hasn’t allowed many runs over that stretch (12 earned runs in 36.0 innings).

Here’s how the odds look at WynnBET Sportsbook for Game 4:

Astros vs. White Sox Odds, Run Line and Total

Run Line:

Astros +1.5 (-190)

White Sox -1.5 (+170)

Moneyline:

Astros: +105

White Sox: -115

Total: 8.5 (Over -110/Under-110)

Carlos Rodon Has Success This Season vs. Astros

There haven’t been many pitchers that have had success against the Astros’ league-best offense, but Rodon is one of them

The lefty has two starts against Houston this season, and he went seven innings in each, allowing just four hits, one earned run and striking out 18 batters. That’s a pretty dominant line, and the White Sox certainly hope that Rodon continues that success on Monday.

White Sox vs. Astros Prediction and Pick

I'm going to take the under in this one, as McCullers was fantastic in Game 1, throwing 6.2 scoreless innings.

Rodon's success against the Astros this season is a big reason why Tony La Russa is opting to let the lefty pitch today even though he could have brought Lance Lynn back for Game 4. If Chicago wins, Lynn would be able to start a win-or-go-home Game 5 in Houston.

There were 18 runs scored in Game 3, but I think both offenses are due for some regression with two solid pitchers on the mound.
