Typically in the Daily Dinger picks, we're thrilled if one of us chooses a player a big odds to hit a home run.

Yesterday, however, we nearly went for the sweep.

Four out of our five "Daily Dinger" selections hit home runs, with Josh Jung of the Texas Rangers the only one not to leave the ballpark.

Can we stay hot with another set of picks this Wednesday? Let's find out!

Best Home Run Picks Today

Ryan Mountcastle (+340) – Baltimore Orioles at Washington Nationals

We got back on track in Daily Dinger with Aaron Judge hitting not one, but two home runs against the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night.

I’m going to back another hot bat tonight, as Ryan Mountcastle homered in Tuesday’s contest with the Washington Nationals, and now he gets to face the terrible Patrick Corbin (6-18, 6.30 ERA) on Wednesday.

Corbin has allowed 27 home runs in 28 starts, and he’s given up at least one home in seven straight starts. Mountcastle (22 homers this season) should be able to take advantage of a cupcake matchup. – Peter Dewey

Gunnar Henderson (+800) - Baltimore Orioles at Washington Nationals

FanDuel appears to be on the sharper side, already lowing Henderson's number way down relative to several other books. Either way, it's a fantastic number for one of the best hitters of late vs. left-handed pitching.

Since his call-up on August 31, Henderson has absolutely raked vs. southpaws. His reverse splits are off the charts with a weighted-on-base-average of .642, and an isolated power of .500! Those are absolutely insane numbers, yet he doesn't have the actual home runs to show for it, which is likely why the line is as long as it is.

Patrick Corbin is gas can, allowing 1.72 HR/9 this year, and while he's been better vs. lefties, he hasn't been good against anyone. This is one of my favorite values of the day.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (+340) - Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tampa Bay Rays

We’re reaching the midway point of September, so it’s time for me to buckle down as a Blue Jays fan, and start betting on my boys to hit dingers. They need my support now more than ever.

So, with that being said, I’m going to back Vladimir Guerrero jr. to hit a home run against the Rays, even if he’s facing Drew Rasmussen. He hasn’t hit a home run all month, so it’s time for that to change.

The good news is, Vlad’s slugging percentage increases from .414 against lefties, to .496 against righties, and 23 of his 27 home runs this season have come against right-handed pitchers. Not all hope is lost against Rasmussen. Also, the Rays bullpen allows 1.1 home runs per nine innings pitched, so this could be a late-game dinger for my guy.  Iain MacMillan

Xander Bogaerts (+475) - Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees

Bogaerts went yard yesterday but I’ll jump on the shortstop’s bandwagon and take him again against lefty Nestor Cortes. Cortes made his first start off the IL and he only got through four innings. He has lost his early season velocity and that can be problematic against Bogaerts, who has an OPS north of 1.000 against southpaws this season.

The right handed hitter is hitting .386 over his last 23 games with five home runs, this matchup sets up well for him.  - Reed Wallach

Jonah Heim (+480) – Texas Rangers vs. Oakland Athletics

It’s been a while since Jonah Heim has hit a home run, but tonight’s the night. Heim has been dinger-less since August 3rd. However, he’s facing J.P. Sears tonight.

Sears has let one go in three of his last four starts, giving up three against the White Sox. His control is lacking right now and I like Heim’s value to finally break out of his slump and get back to where he was at the beginning of the season. – Donnavan Smoot
