It's not always the case, as home runs are down across the majors this year, but the BetSided team has stayed hot with our "Daily Dinger" picks this week.

With Donnavan Smoot getting in on the action with Shohei Ohtani of the L.A. Angels on Saturday, we've correctly projected a player to hit a home run in five of the last seven days, including multiple picks on Tuesday (Aaron Judge), and Wednesday (Christian Yelich, Pete Alonso).

Can we close out the week in style?

Here are our top home run prop bet picks for Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Throughout the 2022 MLB season, the BetSided team of editors share our top home run prop bet picks for the day in the "Daily Dinger."

Best Home Run Prop Bet Picks for Sunday, May 15

  • C.J. Cron (+230)
  • Salvador Pérez (+205)

C.J. Cron (+230) - Colorado Rockies vs. Kansas City Royals

Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron is on fire to start the 2022 season, hitting nine homers through his first 33 games. He also has a .307 batting average and .949 OPS.

Today, he faces lefty Daniel Lynch and the Kansas City Royals at Coors Field. Our own Joe Summers pointed out that Lynch struggles a lot on the road this season, and Cron is much stronger hitting against left-handed pitching.

If Lynch’s road struggles continue, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Cron take him deep on Sunday. -- Peter Dewey

Salvador Pérez (+205) - Kansas City Royals vs. Colorado Rockies

After leading the majors in home runs a season ago with 48, Pérez has gotten off to a much slower start in 2022. But after going yard Saturday in Colorado, he may be starting to turn the corner.

The longtime Royals' backstop has a four game hit streak going, and his power tends to go in streaks, so when he's feeling good at the plate, the power tends to tag alongside.

Pérez gets Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber at hitter-friendly Coors Field this afternoon, and he's struggled mightily against right-handers this year, especially at home. Righties are slugging .629 in Denver against him, while Salvy slugged .640 vs. left-handers a season ago.

Even oddsmakers had to lower this line substantially with Pérez starting to lock in. -- Ben Heisler
