After hitting on home run player props Monday and Tuesday night, we dropped a "Daily Double" on Wednesday as both Donnavan Smoot and Reed Wallach hit with Seattle Mariners rookie sensation Julio Rodriguez (+280), as well as Texas Rangers first baseman Nathaniel Lowe (+490).

For Thursday, we hope to carry the good vibes into today's nine-game slate, with one honing in on today's matinee between the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs, while the other three feature home run props from tonight's evening slate.

Best Home Run Picks Today

  • Corey Dickerson (+486)
  • Kyle Schwarber (+190)
  • Brett Baty (+510)
  • Giancarlo Stanton (+285

Corey Dickerson (+486) - St. Louis Cardinals at Chicago Cubs

Marcus Stroman has been very good since his return from injury in July, pitching to a 2.23 ERA in his last eight starts (44.1 IP), but the Friendly Confines is set to be very friendly towards hitters this afternoon on the North Side of Chicago.

As we pointed out in our MLB Weather Report, the wind is blowing out to left-center field at 10-12 mph today, and no park in baseball does more with the wind, both positively and negatively than Wrigley Field.

So why Dickerson? He’s seen Stroman a bunch, and has consistently put up great numbers against him. Over 42 career AB’s, he’s got a .415 batting average with eight of his 17 hits going for extra bases; three of which have left the yard.

St. Louis has him in the clean-up spot for a reason. Ben Heisler

Kyle Schwarber (+235) - Cincinnati Reds vs. Philadelphia Phillies

I took a shot at a wild 8/1 longshot last night, and it didn’t work out, so I’m going with the complete opposite strategy today. Give me Kyle Schwarber to hit a dinger for the Philadelphia Phillies when they take on the Cincinnati Reds.

If there’s one pitcher you should bet on to give up a home run tonight, it’s Justin Dunn of the Reds. He’s only pitched in 13.1 innings so far this season, but he’s given up five, yes FIVE, home runs already.

Considering Schwarber leads the National League with 34 home runs this season, I bet he’d be more than happy to hit a 35th off of Dunn tonight. - Iain MacMillan

Brett Baty (+510) – Colorado Rockies vs. New York Mets

We’re going a little deeper down the odds board for this pick, as New York Mets youngster Brett Baty could be due to turn things around after a few rough games early in his MLB career.

Baty hit a homer in his first career game, but has struggled since. However, he faces Colorado Rockies starter Ryan Feltner on Thursday, who has allowed 10 homers in 12 games this season.

There isn’t much tape on Baty, but he has a sweet lefty swing and has shown he has major league power as well. I’ll take a shot on him at nearly 5/1 odds.  – Peter Dewey

Giancarlo Stanton (+310) – New York Yankees vs. Oakland Athletics

We’re going to back Stanton to make his return to the lineup in a big way. Stanton hasn’t hit a home run since July 15, but he’ll reintroduce himself today.

James Kaprielian has given up a home run in two of his last three starts. Stanton is fantastic against righties – hitting 19 of his 24 homers against them.

As long as he’s in the lineup, you have to respect his power and I’ll do that today.  – Donnavan Smoot
